Houses — 68.1% of Turramurra
Built for a bigger house.
The 2021 Census counted 3,331 separate houses in Turramurra out of 4,888 private dwellings. On a family home, a bathroom renovation is rarely just about tiles — it is usually about a layout that stopped working when the children got taller.
Room to change the layout
Freestanding homes usually give us the option of moving a wall or relocating the toilet. That is where most of the improvement comes from.
Get under the floor first
Many Turramurra houses sit over a subfloor. It is the cheapest hour of the job — we can see the framing and drainage before we quote.
Bathroom two is worth doing
Larger homes here often have a second or third bathroom. Doing them together saves on trade mobilisation and keeps the finishes consistent.
No owners corporation to convince
A standalone house means the approval conversation is with the certifier where required, not a committee. Timelines are usually shorter.

Units — 27.2% of Turramurra
And the units around the station.
Just over a quarter of Turramurra dwellings are flats or apartments, most of them clustered near the Pacific Highway and the station. Strata bathrooms are a smaller share of the suburb, but they are a different job — and we do them properly.
Approval in writing, first
We give you a scope document the owners corporation can actually assess, rather than a one-line quote.
Slab, not subfloor
In a unit we are usually working on concrete. Falls and waste locations are planned around what the slab allows.
Someone lives below
Membrane detailing and a certificate on completion. In a unit a leak is not your problem alone.
Access and hours
Lift protection, work hours and skip placement all agreed with the building manager before day one.
Turramurra questions
What homeowners here ask.
Can I move the toilet or shower in a Turramurra house?
Usually yes. Most houses here have a subfloor or accessible drainage, which means relocating fixtures is a matter of cost rather than impossibility. We check the drainage line and the framing before design so we can tell you the real number, not an optimistic one.
Should I renovate two bathrooms at once?
If both need doing, generally yes. Trades are already mobilised, tiling and waterproofing happen in one pass, and you only live through the disruption once. The saving is real but it is not half price — we will show you both numbers so you can decide.
How long will we be without the main bathroom?
A single bathroom in a house typically runs three to five weeks depending on scope, waterproofing cure times and whether we are moving plumbing. If it is your only bathroom we sequence the work to keep the disruption as short as it can honestly be.
I'm in a unit, not a house. Do you still take the job?
Yes. About a quarter of Turramurra is strata and we work in it regularly. The difference is that the owners corporation approves the scope before we start, and the waterproofing and access requirements are stricter.
Do I need council approval?
A like-for-like internal bathroom renovation that does not alter structure generally does not require development consent. Once you change structure, move a window, or extend the footprint, it can. We will tell you which category you are in before you commit to a design.
