What this does for resale. Buyers rarely pay a premium for a beautiful bathroom. What they do is discount heavily for one they would have to replace — and discount further again for one with signs of water damage. So the work that protects value is the invisible half: certified waterproofing, sound framing, adequate ventilation, and a second bathroom where the house supports one. The work that adds lifestyle rather than value is the stone, the brass and the steam.
The point where spending stops working is when the bathroom is noticeably more expensive than the rest of the house. If you are staying long term that matters far less, and we will tell you so. Bathroom renovation questions.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Most complete bathroom renovations take approximately three to five weeks after the design, selections and scheduling have been finalised. Timing can vary depending on the scope, approvals and existing site conditions.
Which upgrades cannot be added later?
Anything that sits behind the waterproofing. Underfloor heating, a level-entry shower, an in-wall cistern, timber blocking for future grab rails and acoustic insulation all have to be decided before the membrane goes down. Adding any of them afterwards means stripping a finished, tiled room back to the frame.
Is waterproofing certified?
Yes. Waterproofing is completed by appropriately qualified trades in accordance with applicable requirements. Certification is provided, and our bathroom renovations include a seven-year waterproofing warranty.
Which upgrades actually help at resale?
Honestly, the invisible ones. Buyers do not pay a premium for a beautiful bathroom so much as discount for one they would have to replace, and discount harder again for signs of water damage. Certified waterproofing, sound framing, real ventilation and a second bathroom where the house allows are the items that protect value. Stone, brass and steam are lifestyle. Yes. Following the site inspection and confirmed selections, we provide a detailed scope and quotation. Client-requested changes or unforeseen site conditions are discussed and approved before proceeding as variations.
